I would love to share this musical experience with you. This song is made by Chelsea Perkins. I met her in New York during my welcome party, and in my opinion she is really talented. I’m sure that she will make it in the hard and cold music world! Check out more of her songs on her Facebook page. Like it and love it.

  • ‘What if..’ Movies re-imagined for another time & place. Peter Stults imagined if today’s films had been released in the 40s or 50s! Take a look and see the posters of Avatar, Inception, The Fifth Element and other films. It is like time-traveling into the past!

  • I provide you with a video of a project where a friend of mine, Anthony Spinello, is involved with as one of the producers. A project where more then 30 Berlin and American bases visionaries combine their powers to build up innovative project that will blow or minds. The name of this project is Kulturpark. It’s a public art project that will take place in an abandoned amusement park (named Spreepark) in the East of Berlin. A nice fact is that this park is included in several movies, such as Hanna (2011).

But the question is, when is it? The first three week of June will be the start of the Kulturpark project where Spreepark will be a creative camp for different kinds of disciplines such as; site- specific art, inspire dialogue, urban design, social connection, urban design, historic memory and public imagination. The goal of these three weeks is to exchange thoughts, talents en skills to work towards a successful project. The park will be their canvas.

On the moment the Kulturpark visionaries are collect and initiate a collection of memories, stories and public imaginations to extend the visions for the action events that I just explained above. A week ago they launched a Kickstarter initiative to support the project. It’s important to all donate this project, because it’s not only nice, but it will give the park a new life. It will bring together artists, visionaries and partners to shake hands with the Berlin community!

The team for this project is chosen from an international open ‘call for visions’ and is afterwards selected by a Berlin-based and international panel of cultural leaders. As Anthony told me it will be a perfect balance between several kinds of creative media such as; photography, architecture, performance, sculpture, performance, music food and many more.

The opening will be from June 28 until July 1st. During these days Kulturpark is open for public with a four-day event. It will take place during the last four days of the Berlin Biennial. The main goal of this event will be to interact as an experience to explore the possibilities for a permanent presentation and transformation of the Spreepark into a public culture park.

If you would like to make a donation and read more about the project, take a look at the Kulturpark Kickstarter page

  • Before you watch this documentary, read this. This movie is by far one of the best projects I’ve seen in a while. Skin is a dark, stylish examination of tattoo culture as high art, and a film that tests the boundaries of art and the human body. In this film you watch inspired people tell their stories. You experience how they become a canvas for artists like Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, Raymond Pettibon and Richard Prince.

As the film notes itself ”It’s a beautiful visual essay from the frontiers of contemporary British art”. The sound, the visual, the camera work - everything perfectly made. I have loved tattoos for a long time, and I have always thought it as art.

This video is a piece of art - showing the value, art, and beauty of tattoos.

Skin was made in association with Garage Magazine to mark the launch issue, and was made possible by the generosity of Christie’s, the world’s leading art business, and W Hotels.

Now, enjoy the experience of watching a hell of a good documentary.
